"Envelopes for Airships"
Vectran is even found here!

Vectran is used in the envelope(or skin) of airships, where it is favored because of the need for materials that are extremely durable and lightweight. Vectran, with its high tenacity, provides strength and lightness when it is used in the base material for airship envelopes and enables airships to become large vehicles indeed. Moreover, Vectran absorbs almost no water. This means that when Vectran is covered by resins, the problem of bubbles forming in that coating later, caused when water content vaporizes in other fibers, is no longer a concern. In other words, Vectran is just right for applications where the lighter the weight, the better.
