Promoting the arts
We work with the Ohara Arts Foundation to support the creative activities of young artists,
as well as the training of professionals involved in the restoration and revitalization of works of art.
Medical assistance for mothers and children in Afghanistan
We support clinics that provide medical care for mothers and children in Afghanistan, the recipient
country of the "Sending School Back Packs (Randoseru) Across the Sea Campaign",through a
tie-up with the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning(JOICFP).
Development of know-how on employing people with disabilities
We develop and spread know-how on the creation of workplace environments in
which people with disabilities can work comfortably through research
commissioned to the Ohara Memorial Institute for Science of Labour.
Grants for Humanities Research on Japan
In partnership with the National Institutes for the Humanities, we support the
International Prize for Japan Studies, which honors researchers who have made
achievements in the field of humanities related to Japan overseas.
Support people in disaster-affected areas to get back on their feet
We support communities in “forgotten” disaster-affected areas in Japan and
other part of the world that are still recovering from large-scale disasters to
revive their communities and become economically independent.
